Listeners of Glenn Beck’s programs often ask about his real estate program. Here is what it is, how it works, and what to check before you use any referred agent.

What the Program Is

It is called Real Estate Agents I Trust. It is a referral service, not a discount or cash-back program. Its site describes it as a division of Mercury Radio Arts, with Mercury Real Estate Services, LLC as the licensed brokerage.

How It Works for Buyers and Sellers

  • You submit a form with your contact details, your state, and whether you are buying, selling or both.
  • If the network has an approved agent in your market, Mercury assigns that agent and emails you an introduction.
  • You then work with that agent directly. The agent is an independent agent at their own brokerage.

How Agents Are Chosen

Agents apply online, and Mercury reviews their qualifications and shared values. The site does not list specific criteria, license checks or ongoing monitoring.

What About the Fees?

The program’s site does not state its referral terms. It says fees and commissions are set between you and the agent’s brokerage. A 2015 Inman report said participating agents paid the network a 25% referral fee when a lead became a client, and that terms were set up that way at the time. Those details may have changed. Commissions are always negotiable, so ask any agent what you will pay.

Questions to Ask Any Referred Agent

  • How many homes have you bought or sold in this area in the past year?
  • What is your commission, and is there any fee I pay beyond it?
  • What is your pricing and marketing plan for my home, or your search plan for my purchase?
  • Can I speak with recent clients?

You can also confirm any Virginia agent’s license on the state’s Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) website.
